Fluid Pool Designs was born out of a passion for customer service and crafting beautiful custom in-ground gunite swimming pools to redefine the outdoor living experience in the Greater Houston area and East Texas that started back in 2019. Our journey began while working for two of the most reputable and award-winning pool companies in the greater Houston area and after being part of over 1,000 designs and builds through the years.

Absolutely. We use Jandy equipment which is the most energy-efficient equipment on the market thanks to their versa-plumb system, smart controls, and sustainable materials to reduce costs and environmental impact as well as offering some upgrades to help reduce your chemical and maintenance costs.
We’re a Pool & Hot Tub Alliance certified builder, family-owned, and known for honest pricing, custom designs, and a personal, pressure-free approach. Our goal is to educate our clients and to be a resource for them as most of the time it will be our clients’ first experience building a pool. Even if they ultimately do not choose us as their builder, we offer to review contracts with them and offer advice or questions to ask. Remember; just because two pools look the same in a picture, does not necessarily mean they are similar other than shape.
There are a lot of shortcuts some builders will take to pad their pockets as well as using inferior “like” products. Whether it be equipment, pebble interior knockoffs, smaller plumbing, etc… All of these things make the pool less expensive up front, but will add up to exponentially higher costs of ownership due to repairs and maintenance required in the coming years.

Choosing the correct builder is very important. You are paying this company a lot of money and you want to feel confident with your decision and the people with which you choose to do business.
Be sure they carry insurance as there are no insurance or licensing requirements in the state of Texas currently for residential pool builders. ANYONE can start a pool company without any background checks, carrying insurance or certifications. We hope this changes soon.
Ask for previous customer references. Any pool builder can provide a handful of clients they made happy, but ask the references if anything went wrong during the build or the level of support after the pool was completed. How a pool builder handles issues during construction and being around for their clients after the build is complete speaks volumes!
We encourage our clients to get at least 2-3 bids. It will show you the level of service and follow up as well as the value to be found with Fluid Pool Designs.
